FOR PASTORS

The church will get behind the pastor’s vision. Introduce this revival with a bang! What do you believe God is going to do?

  • Cast a bold vision for what God is about to do in your city. This is not just another event—it is a divine moment of outpouring, breakthrough, and transformation. Learn more about a vision casting service here: https://tentrevivalplanning.com/budget-%26-vision
  • Speak faith into the congregation—help them see beyond the present into what God is preparing. Encourage them to expect miracles, signs, and wonders.
  • Align the church with God's mission for revival by emphasizing the urgency of reaching the lost. People respond to clarity and conviction—your voice must be the rallying call.
  •  Encourage church-wide participation—this is not just a weekend event; it’s the beginning of regional awakening.
  • Preach a series leading into revival, focusing on:
    • The power of faith and expectation.
    • The biblical precedent for city-wide revival.
    • The responsibility of the church in evangelism and prayer.
    • Altar working and bible study training.

How can you help to create momentum leading into the event? How can we streamline the calendar to maintain revival focus?

  • Clear the church calendar leading up to the revival. Avoid all competing events and activities that could dilute focus.
  • Create a singular momentum—all roads should lead to revival. Ensure that every department, ministry, and leader is aligned with this focus.
  • Promote revival weekly—every Sunday and midweek service should include a reminder, a promo video, and a call to engage in prayer and evangelism.
  • Prioritize prayer, outreach, and evangelism in the weeks before and during revival. Establish dedicated prayer meetings and city-reaching initiatives to prepare the atmosphere.
  • Encourage total church participation—from young people to elders, everyone has a role in revival. Let them know their involvement is critical.
  • Use every communication channel available—preach it from the pulpit, reinforce it in meetings, push it on social media, and keep revival at the forefront of every conversation.

Understand how to lead from the front for an event of this size. Where do we need you? What can and cannot be delegated?

  • Your presence matters. People follow what they see in their leader. If revival is important to you, it will be important to them.
  • Be at the forefront of prayer meetings. Let the church see you seeking God, interceding for souls, and demonstrating desperation for revival.
  • Lead in evangelism. If the pastor is knocking doors, inviting people, and praying with the lost, the church will follow suit.
  • Personally engage in the planning and execution. While delegation is important, key aspects of revival—such as vision casting, prayer leadership, and outreach involvement—cannot be fully handed off.
  • Inspire your leaders and teams. Meet regularly with your key leaders and volunteers to ensure alignment, answer questions, and encourage their efforts.
  • Assign leadership roles for critical areas:  Parking,  Security, Baptism, Altar, Registration, Sound, Worship, Outreach, Marketing, Prayer, Setup, Breakdown, etc.
  • Hold regular planning meetings

When the pastor sets the tone, revival will take root. The church will get behind the heartbeat of its leader, and together, we will see a mighty move of God!
