SOUND

Tent Revival sound setup is unique—it’s open-air, temporary, and has its own challenges. But with the right planning and expectations, we can create an atmosphere that encourages prayer and participation from the very first service.

  • Open-air venue = no walls to contain sound.
  • Competing with wind, road noise, and outdoor elements.
  • The goal is loud, robust sound—more than in a church building.

Proper volume helps:

  • Drown out distractions.
  • Lower prayer anxiety by making people feel less heard by others.
  • Encourage boldness in worship and altar response.

  • In many cases, we bring a full sound system and sometimes a sound tech.
  • Your team may help unload and learn during services.

If we can’t bring sound (due to multiple events):

  • We may use your church’s system, or
  • Help you rent one locally.
  • Sound quality will improve each night as we dial things in.

Bigger tents = more speakers and subs = more power.

  • We require diesel commercial generators.

Smaller tents or simpler setups may run on:

  • Whole house generators or
  • Inverter-type power systems.

  • Sound needs must match the size of the tent and crowd.

 Narrow configuration (long and skinny):

  • Easier sound setup—everything faces forward.
  • But the back row feels far from the pulpit and altar.

Wide/fan configuration (preferred):

  • Brings everyone closer—max 60–100 ft from the platform.
  • Requires multiple speakers pointing outward for even sound.

  • It won’t be “perfect,” but it will be powerful.
  • We’ll guide your team on setup and strategy.
  • If we bring a sound tech, let someone understudy to learn.
  • Remember: atmosphere matters, and sound is key to spiritual breakthrough.

Let’s build a sound environment that supports revival, encourages prayer, and makes it easy for the lost to hear the Gospel and respond.
