MARKETING

Direct Mailers

Direct mailers effectively target high-income neighborhoods that are otherwise difficult to evangelize. These include large properties, gated communities, and areas with long driveways.

  • Cost Reduction Tip: Apply for a nonprofit postal rate with USPS 3-4 months in advance to significantly lower mailing costs.
  • Recommended Service (after non-profit approval): Outreach.com
  • Mailers & Flyers Resources: Dropbox Link

Door Hangers & Flyers

Personal invitations remain one of the most effective and cost-efficient ways to invite guests.

  • Recommended Quantity: 10,000-20,000 flyers
  • Distribution Strategy:
    • Target densely populated, lower-income areas
    • Bring flyers to parks, community events, and neighborhoods
    • Organize outreach events on Friday nights and Saturdays leading up to the revival
  • Design Templates: Dropbox Link

Yard Signs

Yard signs are a proven way to attract attention from passing traffic.

  • Recommended Quantity: 300 signs
  • Placement Strategy:
    • High-traffic intersections
    • College campuses
    • Shopping centers and malls
    • Parking lots near busy retail areas

Social Media

Social media marketing can account for over 90% of first-time visitors.

  • Follow the Posting Schedule: Promo Videos & Social Media Resources
  • Boosted Invite Videos:
    • 2 Weeks Before: First Boosted Videos
    • 10 Days Before: Boosted Videos
    • Make a Facbook Event Page! Co-host us & boost it.
    • Don't know how to best build the boost - email ApostolicAndersens@gmail.com for a step-by-step guide
    • Designate a team to respond to inquiries from video engagement

3-4 Months Before the Event

  • Apply for a nonprofit postal rate with USPS. (You can only skip this if not doing mailers).
  • Begin posting non-boosted social media videos on Facebook and Instagram. (Posting Schedule)

2 Months Before the Event

  • Create a Facebook Event for the Jesus Tent Revival and add Braden Andersen & The Jesus Tent Revival as a co-host.
    • Graphics for Facebook Event
  • Launch an internal Prayer, Fasting, and Outreach Calendar. (Editable Template)
  • Continue posting social media videos per schedule.

1 Month Before the Event

  • Confirm USPS nonprofit mailing approval.
  • Design and order direct mailers. (Sample Mailers)
  • Design and order door hangers (at least 10,000, push for 15,000). (Design Templates)
  • Design and order yard signs (300 signs).
  • Start door hanger campaign:
    • Begin in areas farthest from the church, moving inward each week.
    • Increase frequency as the event nears.
  • Prepare a large social media team - they will be assigned to respond to inquiries, share content, and manage comments.

14-10 Days Before the Event

  • Boosted Social Media Videos go live.
  • Continue responding to inquiries and engagement from social media.

7 Days Before the Event

  • Distribute yard signs around the city at strategic locations.
  • Finalize all remaining outreach supplies; order more if needed.
  • Ensure volunteers and teams are prepared for the final marketing push.

Marketing Budget

Successful tent revivals require extensive preparation, including prayer, fasting, outreach, and strategic marketing. Unlike a traditional church service, these events demand a focused effort to inform the community about the revival and invite them to experience Jesus.

Recommended Spend

  • Small Events (up to 400 attendees): $5,000
  • Medium Events (400–900 attendees): $10,000
  • Large Events (900–2300 attendees): $15,000+

This comprehensive marketing plan ensures a high turnout and effective outreach. By leveraging mailers, flyers, yard signs, and social media, your revival event will reach thousands in your community, leading to transformed lives and powerful encounters with Jesus.
